not to mention Chrysler “quality”.

American, French and Italian quality under one roof? I bet the Japanese are terrified!

So the only two single people left in the bar at last call have decided to hook up. Truly a love story for the ages.

oh man is this going to be a cf. Should be some hilarious meetings b/n Italian “quality” and French “quality”.

I think the problem here is that you can’t actually market this thing to people who don’t know about cars. There’s no wool-pulling. It’s not like the Urus (I finally have an excuse to drive a Lambo!) or some heritage-laden tweedmobile (Careful with the Jag, darling).

Lots of car names became famous to normies for

It’s cool to hate on GM, but Honda’s farts don’t stink. Didn’t you know that?

Ford is not involved with Mazda anymore, it’s actually been a while

FWIW, it’s not fully electric by 2030, it’s fully electrified.

Both.

If you drive around Youngstown, you’ll notice a disproportionate amount of GM vehicles. One thing GM hasn’t considered as they shed their US workforce is they are also shedding their customer base. Towns with a plant are GM towns and they buy GM cars and trucks. If you eliminate your core buyers, who is left? Most

I’m with you on the chassis swap. Head south, find a mint body with a roasted motor/trans in a junkyard, and drop this powertrain under it. That’s an impossible amount of rust to repair, and as long as you document the whole thing, it won’t hurt the value when these inevitably actually become collectable.

As a Volvo guy (there are dozens of us! Dozens!) Geely’s ownership has been amazing. Obviously there was a lot of trepidation at first, being the first major western car company bought up by the Chinese. But right from the get go Geely just opened up the checkbook and gave management the space, support and freedom to

Nope, torque converter.

Nissan Frontier. Driving one as a rental right now I can’t believe this vehicle is from this decade let alone this year... I think the only thing this truck has is a back up camera and that’s only because Uncle Sam told them to.

I think another way of writing this article would have been: Why is GM so goddamn helpless in the interior design/materials department? That company has been universally horrible in each brand on this subject since at least the 1980s.

For one thing, I think it would really help if they made a complete break with their
