Most of these situations could be avoided with advanced programming and driving skills. I saw a diagram the other day showing barriers on either side of the road and a pedestrian in the path, and the car has brake failure. (I think it was on this site). There is a pretty easy answer there. Slam into the barrier to…
There’s more too it than that, of course. Combined with the American flag it indicates hostility towards the current political structure, not just an advocation for another.
Anarchy is not a political system per se, it’s lawlessness.
If you wear a shirt with an anarchy symbol and an upside down American flag on an airline, you are looking to cause drama. Think about what the anarchy symbol means. It’s an idiotic concept, sure, but more than that it means you have an active contempt for the law and authority. Combined with an upside down American…

I am being revisionist? Not one Republican voted for it (several Democrats voted against). If they changed it for Republican votes, they were morons. In fact, they made adjustments so that Democrats wouldn’t get skewered in the next elections (they were anyway) for crossing the clear will of their local…
When the Affordable Care Act was signed into law, many people were concerned that it could be a disaster if it didn’t include a public option
You say that there have been
Sure we do. I’m not arguing for no infrastructure spending. I’m arguing for not using taxpayer money to back policies that rely on speculations such as
I think Tesla has done some great things, but they are still using lithium batteries, so it does not support the OP, who I was responding to, who said
So you think that within 14 years, there will be a revolution in battery technology, and that it will be able scale to one of the biggest industries in the world, affordably. It’s possible, but highly unlikely. Instead, it will be the taxpayers on the hook for subsidizing the process from start to finish, when it may…
Why not? It would be unethical to encourage vaping, and very unethical to in any way give compensation for participants to continue vaping, but there are more than enough vapers to do comparisons to non-vapers, and to study the physiological effects using tests on living and dead. That is not to say there aren’t…
I have Aukey Bluetooth headphones as well, and on my 6s plus have a similar issue. What I do is go into the Bluetooth settings screen, and click on the headphones (even though it says they are connected). You have to wait on that screen while it does its thing, and then it actually connects.
Having lived in coastal Florida for nearly my entire life, I don’t think you could rely on tropical systems to generate high winds regularly in any one area. Florida is a large state, and while it is not uncommon for the State to get hit somewhere by a tropical system in any given year, the odds drop significantly…
Well that really has nothing to do with your earlier assertion that high level CEOs don’t get involved with politics.
Schmidt? Zuckerburg? Morgan Stanley Vice Chair? Many in business have publicly supported Hillary in some way or another. Some, as in the case of the Morgan Stanley exec, are doing it precisely because it’s good business. Rumor is she has him lined up for a very high post in her administration, which will feed back…

Chances are good that the phone didn’t even have the original battery. That’s 4 years on a phone that is very battery intensive. Someone could have very easily installed the battery improperly, used a bad part, or even installed the wrong battery altogether.
The pics show something like a Glock 17. You can get those at shops in my area for about $500 new, less for previously-owned.
