I was pretty sure they were passing laws that made it illegal to catch a police officer beating an innocent victim... Or something like that.

All the while, I enjoy 3G on my Evo through pdanet. Downloaded, and sanctioned on the marketplace.

@Kayno: If not for truly phenomenal marketing, the iPod would have never taken off... As far as what the actual device was capable of, it really wasn't all that revolutionary. Of course, everyone here knows this... But the point is, it wasn't a GREAT product until after people started buying it and building the brand.

@MayorBloomberg: No, they just said "everyone has a problem... So really, there's no problem." I guess that's the same as not denying there's a problem. I would rather them have come out and said:

@pixelsnader: Verizon and Sprint use CDMA networks... They're incompatible with GSM networks. There are a few phones offered on either of these carriers that incorporate both a GSM and CDMA radios, however. They usually designate them "world phones". The biggest difference you'll notice between CDMA and GSM is that

@Webran61: Besides... Wasn't the whole rim of the iPhone the antenna? I thought that was just the point that causes a problem.

@Guard: That's how I took it as well... Of course, "We're not perfect" and "Phone's aren't perfect" seems to ALMOST admit they made a mistake... but trotting RIM, HTC and Nokia out basically ruined that idea.

@TheAlmeida: Exactly. Too bad I didn't realize this BEFORE I made the mistake. Although, at the time, I almost thought I was doing her a favor by telling her she got the answer wrong.

@l4crosse: The 89 is worth every cent. For someone who CAN'T do math without a crutch, this thing is indispensable. There's almost nothing you can throw at it that it can't handle... If you take the time to learn the functions, it's an amazing device.

@gemcosta: I'm not saying there's not anything out there that could compete with it... But, for the extra $40 you pay, I couldn't live without the algebra solving capability. That should be home on EVERY advanced calculator.

As it happens, I have a story regarding my calculator experience.

@gemcosta: Well, I hate to say it, but doesn't the TI-89 do anything you could think of? The screen is better (though nowhere where it should be)...

@Almightywhacko: Or... Because of HTC, the EVO still rules supreme! After all, most devices are locked down pretty tight, and they made the choice to be pro-consumer.

@se7a7n7: Yeah, they "flag" the ESN in their system. The phone isn't actually affected. You don't have to sell it for parts, but you can't sell it for use on Verizon. Cricket, Sprint or some other CDMA carrier may be able to activate it.

@kylecpcs: That's awesome. I had a chuckle reading this...

@achalddave: Sarcastic or not, for some this is a good point. ADD is on the rise in America!

I find that I actually read faster with my Sony Reader... Why? Because I'm not interrupting my thought process to turn the page. I press a button, and almost instantly, the next page appears. Now, there isn't much lost in turning a page, but I can attest to having more content per page often makes things go faster as

@Nitemancometh: Looks to be qwerty to me. 4 rows though, that is a travesty.

Get in their car, run the windshield washer fluid out.... Then fill up a bottle with urine... Refill the washer fluid with the urine....
