I'm English and can't remember the last time I heard someone use the word to describe a person.

You need to stop here in the UK we do not call East Asians Oriental. What you are saying is false and things have changed since you last lived here, i hope you that do not use the term when you come back because you will be called out.

His papers must be old because it is not used anymore.

It is not a term in the UK anymore in those 13 years a lot has changed. The only people us the term oriental are Daily Fail users the only time you see the term oriental is if you are describing food or style but not people.

Honestly I think it's considered offensive now in the UK as well, at least in London. The only person I ever heard say Oriental in the UK was the same person who called multiracial people "half-breeds".

The shirt is clearly meant to mock black people. The white boy gets to be a soldier, the white girl gets to be a princess and the black girl gets to be a banana eating and side scratching monkey. Black people have had a long history of being thought of as subhuman monkeys. Even the president of the United States gets

Yeah Aryans, the 3rd generation Turkish German, the Ghanian-German, the Tunisian-German and the Polish-German don't count for anything.

No he is British seeing as he said many times that he is British plus he called out Alex Salmond for waving the Scottish flag when he won Wimbledon. It is up to him if he is Scottish or British not some idiotic American on jezebel aka you.

...Scottish is still British. He's a British citizen.

What the hell does that mean? We're not exactly praising this kind of stuff over here either? And last time I checked, America isn't exactly a moral beacon to the world

No, not really. This judge's statements are out of line with the entirety of the rest of the Crown Prosecution Service's ethos. If anything, we're more like West California, we even have a corrupt policeforce in the Met to rival the LAPD!

"Convictions in the UK for sexual assault make the US's record on it look stellar. Yeah, its that bad over there." That is bullshit it just as bad as the US but in the US for everything they give out harsher punishments (which is most cases are bullshit). Yes there has been outrage over here. You need to take a

As someone who worked in both system that is not all true. The UK justice system can be a mess but the US is an even bigger mess especially with the statue of limitation on rape cases.

The average sentence only nets around eight. Which is longer than the average manslaughter charge. So while five years does seem to be unduly lenient, it is not extraordinarily so (as say two or three years might be). A US judge would be more likely to hit out a longer sentence, with the average being about 11 years,

Just so you know, or might want to add it to the article, the CPS has already ruled that all these kind of myths can't be included in the case prosecution/defense nor in sentencing:

The DPP has also said reiterated forcefully that such matters aren't to be brought up in court:

in the UK we have the ability to complain to the Attorney General if you feel the sentence is inappropriate or short. One complaint is all it takes - sets the process in action. If you guys give us he full details we can challenge this. https://www.gov.uk/complain-about…

With the rolf harris case they had to take in consideration of the law at the time in which he committed the crime (which was 1970s-1980s). But there has been a lot of outrage and what is sad that here in US it wouldn't have even gone to court due to the statue of limitation on rape.

You seem like you got all information from the Daily Fail.

I'm not American and have never seen this image before (although being Canadian, I've at least heard of the disaster). Given that the poster was also not American, it's pretty egocentric to assume the entire world will recognize every image considered iconic to you. Other countries have their own historical disasters

Are you for real? Like, a for real person with these actual thoughts and feelings?
