At least any infrastructure that the state builds for this factory will probably pay for itself even if the factory never happens. Somebody will build something in that area that takes advantage of it eventually.

Malcolm Gladwell did a really good podcast on the Toyota acceleration myth. See http://revisionisthistory.com/episodes/08-blame-game. People hit the accelerator much more than they think.
In the face of evidence of a deliberate coverup, on top of violating US law on purpose, you’re leaning toward “witch hunt”?
Bullshit.
This would be no different than a family who lost someone from a drunk driver suing an alcohol producing company because they did not install a shot counter on their bottle...
Point is still the family is blaming Apple, and not just the driver. This reeks a lot of money bags, inc. will need to pay for the medical bills and suffering since the driver can’t.
There could’ve been any number of logistical/technical details that stopped Apple from releasing said software. It very well may have made using the phone more difficult that it was distracting by itself. Who knows, but there was definitely a good reason for not releasing it, as it’s a marketing dream in this current…
This isn’t at all about a libertarian ideal. It’s about the fact that the man could’ve been doing any number of other things while driving that were not snapchat that could’ve distracted him just as much and caused the same result.
This lawsuit has nothing to do with accountability and everything to do with money. The Asshat who was driving and facetiming probably doesn’t have much in the way of money but Apple has deep pockets so the plaintiffs lawyers are going after them. /statingtheobvious
Not sure why we always have to use the “killer” monocure. This won’t kill Tesla. A bunch of electric cars won’t kill Tesla, it will normalize EVs. This legitimizes Tesla. Sure it willeventually take a bite out of Tesla sales, but at that point the market will be expanded enough Tesla won’t care.
So in order of decreasing accuracy, the title could be:
What exactly is the story here ... cause it sure doesnt match the headline ...?
I’m not sure how I would prove this, but when I was working at Tesla I knew some people working on the snake charger. It 100% exists.
What exactly are you questioning the existence of? The robotic snake charger exists. There have been videos of it in action. The battery swapping station exists across the street from the Harris Ranch restaurant in California, though it may be closed up now because they realized there wasn’t enough demand for it…
Of course he has enemies in the auto industry. He single handedly made the rest of the auto industry look like bullshitting idiots when it comes to BEVs, BEV charging and hydrogen vehicles.
So everything in development is fake? Got it
Not to trot out a tired old phrase, but look to the traditional military industrial complex. Lockheed, Boeing, ULA etc as well as their congressional buddies who give them massive cost+ contracts for both launch services and construction of vehicles NASA integrates inhouse. It’s a big, high dollar old boy’s club that…
Oy, false equivalencies everywhere. Elon saying I’d like to do this, or I’m hoping to release by this date, or it would be great if we could offer this feature isn’t even in the same ballpark as news stories written by fictional characters that make patently false claims about historical events — Not plans that might…
The P90D pulls all the way to 80mph, like the P85D pulled from 0-30mph.
Jack Northrop, founder of Northrop aviation, was a strong proponent of flying wing designs. Beginning in 1940 he created many flying wing prototypes, but failed to secure an Air Force contract. He retired in the late 1970s due to ill health and was not part of the B-2 development. Shortly before his death the company…
