Seems?

I knew when I was watching him on MSNBC yesterday he would end up in a Michael Harriot article here on The Root. Yet, even knowing that, I still wanted to throw up the moment I saw his smug bobbleheaded face.

AOC wasn’t there to hold Zuckerberg accountable - she was there for the cameras, as usual.

And I’m just gonna say this - I am 45 years old, I came out when I was 16, and every single time I’ve been called “fag” or “faggot” or any other gay slur you can think of, it has come from the mouth of a black or brown person - usually black. Does that frustrate and irritate me sometimes? Of course. Does that make me

You’re probably right, but the thing is who cares what they think about anything? If it wasn’t this, it’d be something else. The choice that we have is to either amplify and elevate them by giving them attention or ignoring their nonsense.

I cannot wait for this.

Pete wasn’t “angry” and he didn’t “pick fights” - it was a debate and he debated. If someone called Kamala or Cory “angry” you’d be losing your shit. As far as The Douglass Plan goes, don’t act like you’ve never heard him talk about it and don’t act like he doesn’t have a huge, detailed section of his website devoted

I partially agree with you - looks are maybe not so important, but charisma is definitely important, especially for a high level politician. You can’t just be competent; you have to be able to inspire people, to make them want to follow you, support you, vote for you.

I’m all for body positivity & I think that plus size people should be able to feel good about themselves and see themselves represented in ad campaigns like this, but denying that being morbidly obese isn’t unhealthy is ridiculous and stupid.

So, first, I could have phrased the part you quoted better. What I wanted to say was that Castro has good ideas, but as a public speaker, he doesn’t grab your attention. So unless you’re already interested in what he has to say, you don’t get pulled in.

Grow up. No one ever has “enough” money, especially wealthy celebrities, and anything good these people do is a byproduct of their pursuit of more fame and more money.

Haha. Spare me. Pete showed a little backbone last night and I’ve seen him called things like “bitchy” and “catty” for his trouble. Castro isn’t a victim of racism, he’s a victim of his own lack of charisma.

Castro’s problems are (IMO) almost entirely image related. His charisma level is at near zero, the middle school teacher combover is doing him no favors, and while the things he says make sense, unless you’re really listening for them, they just don’t land. He doesn’t make an impression.

Oh, please. When something bad happens to brown folks, y’all can’t shut up about black and brown, talking about People of Color and how you’re all united and allies - until a brown person steps one foot out of line and then it’s all forgotten. Just like the way blacks pay lip service to the LGBTQ community,

It just floors me that The Root chooses to elevate knucklehead nonsense like this.

Biden was condescending and patronizing, to be sure. I was very happy to see Pete Buttigieg show some spirit and some fight last night, but I would hardly call him an “attack dog” and there’s nothing wrong with pressing Elizabeth “I have a plan for everything” Warren to talk about how she’s going to pay for her

This is a foolish misstep by AOC, Omar, and Tlaib.

What is it that you don’t trust, exactly? It was the nephew that said she had a gun, the interim police chief said it was completely appropriate for her to take steps to defend herself (and said it was irrelevant anyway) and the police department is correctly viewing Dean as the perpetrator here. You’re acting like

I don’t really buy that one. This seems like a role that’s more suited to someone who identifies as a woman, which (as far as I know) Billy doesn’t.

Over a dozen paragraphs on this stupid bitch when you coulda just said “Nope.” and been done with it.
