I’m sure they do have them installed at the mains power, the crane clipped an aerial power cable to an adjacent building. I’d assume after the incident they probably placed powerpacks at each building transformer for redundancy.  

Not discounting it at all. Its just nothing like NY’s and i’ve never seen a descending staircase into one anywhere i’ve been in the city and never heard anyone speak of it. I guess i’m expecting the grandeur and ridership of NY or Paris when I think of a subway.

Its not just the knockoffs that tanked them. The product was too good, once you bought one there was never really a need to update it with something newer since there were never any real huge updates to warrant the expense.
