I actually saw one of these on I-40 outside of Gallup, NM yesterday. Black gaffer tape over the nissan grill emblem and the one on the tailgate was removed altogether. The Cummins badging on the fender was intact.
Understeer is when you see what you're about to hit through the front window. Oversteer is when you see what you're about to hit through the side window.
And they're way cheaper than what my LBS charges. I like to keep some on hand.
YES! I still have my Futron Monorail Transport System. So awesome, I'd let it run and run until the 9v battery died. After that it wouldn't run the motor unless you unhooked half of the train, after that you could still get it to flash the light, then I had to get mom to buy me a new battery. Rinse Repeat.
Ogallala, NE. Spaceship, clever.
I happen to now live like 4 blocks from there. I'm sure the neighborhood is exactly the same as you remember it.
I came here to post this as well. My first Pasta and I didn't actually know it was fiction (I had added it to Pocket to save it for later so I didn't know it was on a fiction site). Great read and it was fun to start questioning if it was real or not. Highly recommend.

I agree, I own that frame. 2004 Specialized Hardrock. Certainly at the lower end of their entry level at the time. It did well by me for a couple years and upgraded to a steel 29'er.
I remember on the big backyard satellite dish SciFi channel did about 2 months worth of a looping video where they kept chanting "We're coming for you (insert name here)" and it had these trippy images and sounds in the background. My mom was convinced I was being brainwashed. It was pretty mesmerizing and scary too,…
That's the Sandhills region of north central Nebraska, I grew up there in a town of around 35 people. It was 85 miles to fast food or a movie, so yeah, there isn't anything there but cattle and sand. Not great for building roads, nor do you really need them. I love it though, beautiful in the springtime. Best water in…
You know what drives me nuts? When an inverted car in movies never has a powertrain in it. I understand why they'd want to take it out to do stunts or whatever but they never even try to make it look like there is one in there.
Good point, I guess I kind of forgot that several of them probably aren't old enough to drink.
What's wrong with me when I immediately notice that there isn't a beer or cocktail in sight in this video and I am not ok with that?
Hipster commercial is intolerably hipster.
Yo Dawg, I know how you like Pool and Pools so we put Pool in your Pool so you can play Pool while you're in your Pool. Or something like that, am I doing it right?!?!
Bingo, I commented to say the same thing.
This reminds me of Stephen King's Dark Tower books when they're in the alternate NY enjoying Long Pork at the Dixie Pig.
