I'm not speaking in absolutes about "all conservatives", but I am speaking about the majority of those driving the GOP agenda currently. Santorum is mild compared to some in power now like our racist AG, Jeff Sessions.

I'm also reading into what bigoted conservatives have straight out said like Santorum who didn't want to give money to "blaahhh people".

Hahaha! Come on. Now you're just arguing for argument's sake. They describe the same behavior.

Private charities are favored because they let people discriminate in who they help. Many conservatives don't like government doing the helping because it may go to the lazy undeserving minorities.

I was talking to somebody else. You should get the context from reading their comment.

Wow, I happen to be mixed race and I associate with all races including white people.

"…as much as anybody else" signifies that I know all groups do it.

White people self-segregate as much as anybody else so I don't get the "communities" criticism.

If you want to ignore the essential refutation of your point, that's your prerogative.

I don't think you do get it. Sure, nobody thinks of themselves as evil, but there are marked differences in empathy levels between the different ends of the political spectrum.

Wrong. I vote for social programs like food assistance and subsidized housing not because I need them, but because others do.

Yeah, but they are demonstrably deluded like Joni Ernst of Iowa who campaigned against "Agenda 21" because she thought it meant Iowa farmers would be forcibly relocated and contrary to popular belief, college will not turn you gay.

Not sure what your problem with my comment is, but don't feel a need to clarify. I live in rural America and know firsthand that many of the conservatives here will never be personally impacted by the politics they endorse and they don't understand who they're hurting.

For middle America, it's politics, but for LGBTQ and for immigrants who make up a large part of the entertainment industry, it's their lives.

I saw it reported Alexis had gone back to identifying as a gay man shortly before passing.

She can absolutely do what she wants with her money. I just think she is a phony.

Tom might push for Brooke too just to validate Last Chance Kitchen as a concept. I'm not a fan of LCK because it is just Tom picking the winners and he is one biased judge. Kristen was obviously a pet.

That Kristen Kish commercial is old. Her stock went down in my book because she talked about using her prize money to go to Korea and connect with the culture of her birth, but then she didn't do that. Don't talk about some elevated purpose to your winning if you're not going to follow through.

He also terms their relationship as a "thang".

…of her face.
