Just suggesting it because I watched it earlier, but Buried is fucking great - one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

I guess not... I'm not American so that might be part of it, but I'd recognise the other two you mentioned, definitely.
Yeah, I'm 1994 and I've never seen that picture before. I'd heard of it, but I definitely wouldn't have known what that picture was.
No probs, sorry for being so defensive - it's really more my annoyance about the fact that my country's national day HAS been hijacked by alcohol companies to the point where they might as well have invented it!
That's really impressive to do for a play - they don't seem to bother telling actresses not to shave for period-style stuff like The Tudors or Game of Thrones! Did all the actresses agree to not shave?
St Patrick's Day has been celebrated since at least the 1600s. It's a holy day in the Catholic Church. It wasn't "made up" by Guiness. (They obviously take advantage of it, but they didn't invent it.)
The liffey? We've all been there :-(
Beside the point of the story, but Ireland isn't part of the Commonwealth either. Regardless, it seems ridiculous that there aren't exceptions in diplomatic immunity for rape/ murder.
I never saw that movie, but you can add my mom to your list of people who hated that movie. Between that, The Men Who Stare At Goats and Up In The Air, you can't even MENTION George Clooney in my house. I think she must be the only middle aged woman on the planet who doesn't love him.
Try boi-ing by Benefit! It's definitely the best concealer I've ever tried.
Does it look like Labour will win a majority in the next election, or will they likely have to enter a coalition? If so, with who? Could it end up being UKIP, or would it just be Labour + independents? (I live in Ireland so I have a semi-functioning knowledge of British gov but I haven't heard anyone talk about this!)
Ireland actually totally avoided this trend of voting in huge numbers for a far-right party - in fact, we don't even have a far-right party! Even though I don't like most of my constituencies MEPs, I'm pretty proud that none of them are like, conservative and racist.
Whaaaat? I go to a uni with pretty similar traditions to Cambridge but from the graduation pics I've seen... We definitely have no rules about excessive makeup! That reminds me of secondary school.
I'd say next season really will be all Dorne (yay!) and Iron Islands (boo). All of the kings landing story lines are Cersei's inner monologue and I remember nothing about Jon's chapters in ADWD except for that really good last chapter of his. And Sansa and Brienne and Theon are fairly close to being up to date.
I'm sure I saw an interview in which the person who will play LS hints at the fact that they will be coming back... Can't find a link but I swear I saw it!
Oh wow, they do look alike and he is... Quite the looker.
Isn't that... Alex Pettyfer?
I agree there's no way of deterring someone from being a monster - and trust me, I do not feel bad for this guy, whatsoever.
That, and the fact that it doesn't seem to work as a deterrent at all.
They had their own main page article, but it wasn't great. I'm pretty sure they never mainpaged the io9 one, which they should really do!
