I don't know what to do with good white people.
This is awesome news. I just bought one three days ago, and you're telling me I'm about to love it EVEN MORE?
2 things...
*Devil's advocate here, I don't really disagree with what you're saying, but it's also a bit naive*
People can mock all they want, but in the end, for electric cars to go mainstream, they need five things: infrastructure, reliability, looks, comparable pricing, and range. Nothing else really matters. Who cares if this gives more ammo to naysayers if the war is nearly over? Once electric cars win the war, the extra…
Dammit, Jim, I'm a Doctor, not a Doctor! Um...
No worries - I'm sure I came across super beer snobby...I tend to be equally judgemental around things like boxed wine...yet I don't turn my nose up if i'm at one of "those" parties and someone offers me some maddog 20/20 ;)
Hey I won't lie, I'm a beer snob. I'll hit up a coors light on a hot day when I just want to get blazed (late summer tailgate parties practically require it since drinking anything heavier will just leave you in pain)...but for the most part I prefer to taste my beer and be able to single it out from other beers, or…
Eh, I drink a wide variety of beers and admittedly most of them are microbrews...but I've also been known to throw back a PBR or two when I just want something to go down the hatch fast on a hot day.
I don't disagree with that - if I just want something cold, wet, and getting the job done, coors light would be the one I'd choose too...but as an adult (not meant snobby, hopefully you know what I mean) I typically prefer to actually taste my beer.
Pearl Harbor isn't half bad if you only watched the 2nd DVD.
They're not going to name a version of Android after you. This isn't the Make-A-Wish foundation.
I still can't believe 'K' went to KitKat and not Key Lime Pie. I had a running bet for ages on that. Sigh.
Only pit bulls would be that stupid.

Two totally different shapes? Looks like two triangles to me!
My dad, a Boomer, occasionally reminds me that "everyone pays their dues". I then remind him that in his 20s he supported a wife, two kids, and a mortgage on one income and had Fridays off in the summer.
While he is a good guitarist, and RHCP albums with him are among my faves, saying he is heart and soul is kinda silly since the band was around since john was in kindergarden, and Flea and Anthony are the real heart and soul....
Great article! I generally agree although I have to wonder what you would have written about in the late 20s / early 30s when nearly-identical Art Deco skyscrapers were going up in every US city. We revere them today as examples of the machine age and aspiration modernity but under your rubric they should be derided…
If you link to XKCD three times a week, even though everyone knows about XKCD already, you're desperate.
