The ultrasound thing nay have been more of a pro-life thing of “even if the fetus has severe abnormalities we’ll still carry to term, so why bother finding out?”, which is a choice some people make.

I’d answer by saying “nothing is impossible.” However seems EXTREMELY unlikely that a pap goes from totally normal to metastatic cervical cancer in just over a year. I’ve never seen or heard of anything even close to that

I have empathy. I don’t have as *much* empathy for someone who eschews medical help. Their daughter DESERVES more than that.

This both saddens and angers me. If she had gotten a pap smear, it it possible it may have been treatable with a cone or LEEP procedure, without endangering the pregnancy .

“During the pregnancy, we never did an ultrasound, or saw a doctor, nor would it have made any difference if we had. We trusted that God..”

Oh Christ, that’s what this was.

Can we have a moment to contemplate HPV vaccines now?

I wondered about this. It seems rare to die from cervical cancer these days if you’re following medical guidelines for regular exams. Also - insane to not see a OB during a late 30s high risk pregnancy.

My wife’s greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven.

A few things.

Must be nice to believe in Heaven.

I like HRC. I like her capability, her education, her experience. And I like that all the way back to her speech at Wellesley she has embraced positive, liberal, ideas that she could see a path to enacting. If you can see a path, you can see how to break it down into steps that happen. Sure, we all want change now-

I mean, I like that Bernie is pulling the party left, but the way it’s manifesting in reality is scarier by the day. My Facebook feed is filled with conspiracy theories about superdelegates and corporate media, and I guarantee you not a single one of those people has any idea who is running for their congressional

Yes to this. The only way to actually get progressive values in is by supporting other progressives into office, by raising money for them, by campaigning for them. If Sanders was serious about his agenda, he would have been scrutinizing downticket races, and Republican seats that were open/vulnerable to build a

“Subscribing to the notion that Bernie is the Messiah (or any person) isn’t helping- there is a bigger picture that requires a group effort.”

I'm copying this comment and quoting you every time a Bernie supporter gets weird.

What is with Bernie supporters pushing in and making shit that has NOTHING to do with Bernie all about Bernie? It’s exhausting.

Politics are all about shifts and slides. Steps. Politics are NEVER about a single individual transforming creaking bureaucracy by their lonesome.

It’s beyond naive (and actually quite destructive) to act/pretend/delude one’s self like it works that way.

Get over yourself. I’m a Hillary supporter that plans on voting with the party.
