As a lot of other people have said, he’s very good in The Tudors, Man From U.N.C.L.E., and Mission Impossible. I’d note that unlike Superman, he doesn’t have to do an American accent for those movies, and that can tend to stiffen up a performance from non-American actors.

I feel like having a very good actor, with the perfect physicality for the role, and a great deal of enthusiasm for the material is about as good as it’s gonna get.
