I suspect it will be something like first flashing that annoying smirk of his, followed by an extremely fake frowny face and finally saying something like. “You know, you probably shouldn’t be chanting that. The Fake News media doesn’t like it when you do that!”. The chanting then begins again louder and angrier.

Hannity is also a perfect example of how insidious the right wing media really can be. In my younger, lied-to, conservative days, I was initially creeped out by Hannity’s “your a great American” nonsense and was annoyed he followed Rush on the local right wing radio station because, compared to Rush and the local guys

Wild how people who refuse to acknowledge the existence of nuance in anything else can all of a sudden find the nuanced explanation for how textbook racism is actually good.

Hannity: “I don’t think Jeffrey Epstein was raping underage girls as much as saying older women are repugnant.”

Never forget: Hannity is the without parallel example of a mediocre white male. His sole accomplishment in life is being able to lie repeatedly and at length about any subject.  He began as a failure and has rose to prominence, not on talent, but by building on that failure as a foundation of his eternal white

Fox is a direct result of Reagan revoking the Fairness Doctorine and opening the door for right wing hate groups to broadcast their poison under the guise of news.

It would certainly be justified.

These Fox assholes are traitorous propagandists. I hate the “don’t hate the player, hate the game” saying and philosophy. You can’t have a game without players and players choose to play. They can all go to hell.

“His comments on today’s hearings were reprehensible and do not reflect the purported values of FOX News.”

College football referee and baseball umpire here. So much of the commentary about this event has ascribed motivation to this official’s action, most of which is probably unwarranted. Ramos’s sole motivation was to enforce the rules, and enforce them as consistently as he could. He almost certainly didn’t want to

Almost there. Take the final leap and realize that the USTA/ITF/WTP/etc are the real problem for not enforcing a consistent rules culture from the beginning.

What is the cop doing on the field? What training does he have to assist in a crash that is pertinent in a racetrack? Let the safety crew handle the event.

This is EXACTLY what we are talking about here; I don’t like the racing at Bowman Gray but this kind of stuff has always been allowed. If a cop can unilaterally decide what is or isn’t allowed on one field they can decide it on any field.

I’ve been to more short tracks than I can immediately count (as well as other tracks of various types) and can tell you that at MOST tracks what happened would have been completely out of line...MOST tracks. Bowman Gray is a 1/4 mile facility with no banking and passing is a full contact activity; the layout of Bowman

Half the people in this country loves guns so much, they’d sploosh seeing more of them in public. Apparently we didn’t know we needed guns for driver protection in a hundred years of auto racing. I’m so glad we have them now. Now, drivers can pressure the cops to shoot/arrest any driver who seems threatening, and WOW

Cars dont magically stop if you shoot the driver. All this cop did was introduce another weapon into a questionable situation.

Can see it now- at NHL games- a police officer sits inside the timekeeper’s box. Fight breaks out between two players- one of them starts pummeling the other. PO pulls gun- shoots player who is winning the fight.

This ain’t F1 homie. This is a local redneck, all-goes sport.
Although the recklessness shown was unwarranted but it isn’t highly unusual.

Stick to the story which is whether or not the cops reaction was warranted.
IMO no - fuck off with this shit. He shouldn’t have even been there.

a car bumping another car at a stock car race

“With me not seeing the cop, if my car would have lunged forward or something just from me shutting it off, would he have shot me?” Spears asked in the video embedded from the Charlotte Observer.
