I enjoyed the show and was fine with the ending. The key thing to the show is that there isn’t a single actually likable or “good” person. They are all just awful people... and the finale just recognized that in a particular way. 

Plus, the game was an unknown gamble back then, too. The video game voice acing ‘industry’ was in its infancy. If she wanted to be paid on performance, she could have asked for royalties. As it turns out, she wanted guaranteed money. As such, how well the game did is of no concern to her. If you want to be rewarded when something does well, you need to be prepared to be punished when it fails.

Is anyone able to provide additional context for me since I didn’t play the game? How major of a character did she play and did they have a lot of screentime and lines?

Not to mention, it was a much much different time now than it was in 1998.

Considering the game was done as a non-union job and everybody used pseudonyms, I’m not shocked to hear it also paid terribly. I hope the later games paid better but I also would not be shocked if they didn’t either.

Not really. Volvo is not controlled by Geely. No more than when they were partnered with Ford.

I see no such information mentioned anywhere by any car site except it was developed WITH Geely.

They kept designing and building their own products with Geely financial backing, but this is a 100% Geely creation with a Volvo badge on it.

It’s not really a Volvo, so I’m not sure about peerless safety or anything you’d expect from a traditional Volvo.

Unfortunately, waiting for the used models won’t save much money unless you can get a used 1 or 2 year lease, but even then it’s not gonna be much cheaper. 

$36K, 275 mile range, 268 horsepower EV compact? With Volvo’s seats and peerless safety?
