The RAV4 Prime shows that there is a healthy market for PHEVs. The Sienna minivan should be next in line to get the PHEV option.

The fact that it’s built on a US manufacturer’s platform does not instill confidence in its long term reliability.

As I have said many times, PHEV’s and Hybrids make the most sense for a large number of drivers. In the meantime, moving people from pure ICE to one of these two is a great steppingstone and will also allow EV tech to improve.
