And also lots of men muddying the waters if not outright lying. I don’t happen to believe the veracity of this woman’s accusation.

And when the government handouts like unemployment stop? Being broke or out of work is essentially the same as being dead if you can no longer buy food. Greed has nothing to do with it when you are using the money to buy food and shelter to literally stay alive.

If I had to guess I would say you currently have an income and are not at risk to lose it regardless of how long this goes on therefore the best course of action is to keep everything closed indefinitely.

We’re already accepting a certain level of risk. If we weren’t, people would be banned from going to the grocery store and there would be no “essential industries”.

Masks and gloves? Yes. Self isolation for that long? I don’t think that is realistic to expect of the population as a whole. That is going to have some profound mental health implications. We really need to figure out how to ramp up our testing before too long so that at some point families can actually gather again.
