I didn't realize how affluent every Jalopnik commentor was. Congrats to everyone here. It's impressive how many $200k+ commentors we have on here. "Ha! Just buy the fucking car. Miatas aren't even a drop in the bucket! What kind of MAN can't spend however much money he wants without some pesky woman nagging him about

Well, if some dumbass is trying to spend half of the joint savings on a busted Miata, I would hope the SO would step up and stop them. A "fun car" is not worth financial ruin and the strain and stress put on a family.

Came here looking for a Space Jan reference. Thanks for not disappointing.

The only thing that I could think of while reading his email is that at no point in the 23 years that I had with my father or after he passed have I wished that he wasn't around. In his 50 years on this miserable planet, he made many people's lives better, and he was my hero. Losing my father hurt and it still hurts,

My father (RIP) wasn't as discretionary: "It'll make a turd," will forever be a phrase in my arsenal.

As a Pelicans fan, I agree. Fuck Tyreke Evans.

Right? How about you do something better than a contested three with 5 seconds left when you only need 2 points to win? Regardless of the call at the other end, you still had a shot to win, and you blew it.

And it's not in New Orleans... Moisant, if I remember my security clearance course properly, died in a plane crash in the field that later bare his name, as well.

Shit, I think we paid less than $60 for our goofy bastard.

Wait- Michael Beasley and Andre Blatche play in the CBA? Damn.

While not exactly a repair, I once watched my dad whittle a stick into the vague shape of a screw driver to unlock the door of his 1985 RX-7 because he locked the keys in the car. Those old cylinder locks were so worn out, it didn't matter what you stuck in there to unlock the door.

NOLA Irish Channel Stout is 6.8% and I don't know what ABV Flare Incident is, but Jefferson Stout is less than 6%. I won't sit here and tell you that they are better than every beer on this list. I will tell you that you should drink them if you ever see them. They are all very tasty. Lucky Town hasn't made it to New

RE: Michael the belt guy

I would immediately drive to an area that has fuel refineries, use whatever diesel is available to start the back up diesel generators, get the plant running, and try to figure out how to produce more diesel/gasoline. Every six months or so, produce fresh fuel. Those huge plants have to be close to automated by now.

This statement is fairly obtuse.

As a Pels fan who just watched them lose to the fucking Denver Nuggets, I think OKC is safe.

One forum that I used to be active on had a "Blue peanut M&M" rule. Any pictures backing up a claim was required to have a blue peanut M&M in the photo.

The public's entertainment is more important than anything.

Except for the fact that the federal government has spent $8B over the last 10 years building the New Orleans 100 Year Flood Protection System, which includes levees, flood walls, and the world's largest pumping station (along with many more pumping stations around the area). http://www.nola.com/opinions/index…
