Rdio gets in close, tap-tap throws Spotify, blocks the wake-up Ultra, then uses Bob Dylan -> FADC -> Pink Floyd Ultra . . . game . . . over.

You can change the default sort. Add "?sort=priority" to the end of the wishlist URL before you share it.

I'm just curious: does anyone know what exactly PDAnet does to hide the tethering from the carrier?

This SlickDeals forum post also has an updated list of all the market deals. The official main promotion page hasn't updated with today's .10 apps for me yet, but the SlickDeals thread has them already:

Actually, even though the Touchpad is a tablet, this is the version you want. Cyanogenmod is based on Gingerbread. The tablet version of Swiftkey is only for Honeycomb.

I don't think the mouse wheel is meant to be used as a middle click. Instead, I map the little button behind it to be the middle click (by default it is set to call the app switcher). Also, in freewheeling mode the wheel can be very sensitive; I had to turn down the sensitivity in the settings.

Since I'm left-handed, I'll throw out my favorites for the other south paws. The major mice makers rarely make ergonomic left-handed mice, so ambidextrous is usually what you look for.

Nice find! It even works for superscript/subscript.

I use it in the same way I use Twitter, as a stream of news from people (not necessarily personal friends) I find interesting: tech journalists, authors, and so forth. The advantage over Twitter is that it's much easier to comment.

AWS sounds like it would be more economical for medium amounts of data (i.e. slightly more than the above services offer). If I wanted to back up 35 Gb, that would cost me $5/month, but if I wanted to back up 350 Gb, that's $50/month! On the other hand, something like CrashPlan (for example) would give you unlimited

Hah! On a whim, I decided to view the source of that barren page. The javascript is hilarious :D

One I use frequently is Win+L to lock the screen. (I use it, for example, every time I walk away from my computer.)

That does not work. Well, it appears to work, but it does not have the desired effect: app tabs will still load at startup.

Good to know!

You can't build a review without the app, but there actually is a website where you can view the reviews. For example: [www.oink.com]

The app is from Kevin Rose's (founder of Digg) new company, Milk. I gave it a try and it seems pretty cool. It doesn't just have to be food items; I've seen some oinks (is that what they're called?) for technology, like apps.

If you live near the college that you attended, you can often get an alumni library pass. Sometimes, you don't even need a library pass to get in; just find the article you want, and photocopy it without checking out. College libraries are much more likely to carry what you want than your local public library.

It's not that the women, on average, are good-looking; rather, it's a psychological effect that "averageness" is a characteristic of beauty. See [en.wikipedia.org]

Instapaper will also send a compilation of your unread articles to your Kindle. I love this feature; it's like getting a surprise self-curated magazine via wifi.
