The inability to accurately predict your future self is also a big factor in the implications of procrastination:

@Platypus Man: I wouldn't use it either, but just for the sake of argument, if I did I'd probably be (a) running a linux live cd on an old laptop and (b) using a USB extension cord.

@ravenarose: I understand that there are people with clinically abnormal metabolisms, but I don't see how that invalidates the fundamental principle that taking in less energy than you expend will cause one to lose weight. Also, I'm doubtful that the 34% of adult Americans who are obese ([jama.ama-assn.org] all

I'm looking forward to giving this a try. The horrible font rendering and slow interface in the WPF version had me using the website more than the desktop app.

I'm using Live Photo Gallery over Picasa because Photo Gallery stores all metadata within the photo itself, using the newer XMP standard. Picasa uses older IPTC tags in conjunction with an external library.

@chris0089: It does facial recognition and some other things in the background. I would expect it to lighten up after it's done (but that can be awhile if you have a lot of photos in your library).

@00000000: You can install the Vista version of Movie Maker in Windows 7. You just have to copy the files over and then register some of the codecs.

@JohnnyricoMC: lol, so did I! I don't think Iron Man lacks flash accessories :)

Awesome! I just dropped my cable service down to locals only (I get terrible OTA reception), saving $40/mo. I kept the locals so I can still watch live sports and major events, but Netflix, Hulu, and Boxee have much of the content I used to pay for.

@Bruce Landwaster: My friend likes to name his network "virus". I'm not personally a big fan of trying to taunt hackers, though. ;)

I'm currently using Air Video on my HTPC, but it only streams to iOS devices and chokes and crashes on a lot of my videos. I'm looking forward to giving this a try.

@wild homes loves you but chooses darkness!: I think you guys have some miscommunication. CCM333 confused your "dangerous to boot" statement as referring to your own rig, not the one in the article. I made the same mistake initially; I thought you were using "dangerous" as some sort of slang for "cool". It's the

@Marand: I'm using Firefox 3.6.8 on Windows.

For everyone hiding their menu bar: you don't need to install an extra Addon to do it. Just right-click on it, and uncheck "Menu Bar".

@t3knomanser: Just fyi, this only affects the World Clock part of the clock app, not the whole thing.

@Jeb_Hoge: I would argue that emotion (as long as its not impulse) should not completely be ignored. I does you no good to buy a car that was the most logical choice, but that you hate driving every day.

I just installed PDF Loading Warner, and it seems to work. After installing it from Cydia, I googled "sample pdf" in mobile Safari, clicked on a link, and a pop-up warning launched. Nice!

@xoSushi: "show featured discussions only" basically minimizes the spam. And since I'm not a starred user (yet!), here's my #dropbox referral:
