"Assuming no election before the end of the maximum term" is a big leap right now. Even so it was a snap election she CHOSE to call, she had another two years in government with a strong majority as it was. The election gained her nothing and lost her plenty, ergo she lost.

Fuck -up. For it to be a pyrrhic victory she has to have gained something, anything, she didn't have in the first place. She did not. It's a solid, old-fashioned fuck-up.

It used to be great tv, now my contempt for it is stronger than my love for it was when it was good.

Weakening your own majority is no kind of win at all. Shooting yourself in the foot isn't a victory, even if the foot doesn't need amputated.

1. Twin Peaks
2. Fargo
3. Veep
4. Master of None

I feel as though F is for Family passed most people by, glad we're both feeling it.

Isn't he just damaging his ear even more by using earphones all day? He could just hook his ipod up through his radio port.

"Endless insults" is the Iannucci house style, I really don't see it changing. Obviously not you so just stfu.

It's definitely not been quite as funny this season as it has been in the past. Season five was probably Veep at its best imo. I still think the writers get a LOT of great comedy out of creative swearing and insults and the cast still get plenty of mileage out of their chemistry with one another. The biggest weakness

He released Acid Rap back in 2012, mixtape or not he's hardly 'new'.

This IS his legacy now.

Calling the writing lazy is lazy as fuck itself. The plot might not have been what you wanted it to be but over 90% of the jokes are in the dialogue, a less-than-great Veep episode is still amazingly well written.

Exactly. A "career journalist" has no morals? Shocker!

Yeah, it was liberated in name only.

Of all the AMAZING songs about heroin addiction your favourite is by Goo Goo Dolls?
Have you never heard the Needle and the Damge Done, Dead Flowers, I'm Waiting for the Man (or any other Velvet Underground song)?
It's a bit like saying your favourite love song is by Taylor Swift.

Definitely not.

Did Albert Hammond have any others 'hits' other that It Never Rains in Southern California? If not, I'd go for that one.

Nah, that's pronouned 'Will'.

This is fascinating but not at all surprising. I'm gonna have to look that article up.
