Between modern snow tires and modern traction control, I’ve rarely ever needed to do manual gear shifting. I’ve only used it if it snows and I have my all-seasons on.

I know this could describe lots of schools, but this description sounds exactly like you went to Penn State.

but I also believe it makes a huge difference in driving in snowy, crappy weather

However, the EPA audits 15-20% of vehicle models each year, so there would be an issue with Honda consistently reporting inaccurate values. It’s still a standardized procedure, so there’s no way to sandbag the values without completely fabricating them.

I don’t see how Honda could sandbag the rating unless they’re literally filling the test cars with sandbags. Fuel economy ratings are provided to car manufacturers after testing is done by the EPA. Hence why I said it seems like the highway testing methodology might not be super accurate on modern cars

Oh god, I can just imagine.

I think your EPA estimate just might be way low, which is why you get comparatively fantastic mileage. My Optima is rating for around 35 MPG highway and I consistently get above 40, sometimes even 43 MPG. And that’s driving in sport mode, where the engine runs at a higher RPM even while coasting.

Right!? He’s driving one side of a vehicle with a high center of gravity into a potentially deep depression. If it’s one of those puddles that’s actually hiding a gigantic pothole, it could easily send the truck up on to the sidewalk.

So if someone is on their way to an exam at the university and they get absolutely soaked, they should just accept that they’re now going to have to spend a couple hours soaking wet in an air conditioned room because it meant the driver had a nice laugh?

Kinda. If you’re texting on a mounted phone, it’s still illegal. This exception is carved out for people using mapping apps, which are set and forget

These severe fines do NOTHING to stop people pecking away at their phones in Ontario.”

WHY would you correct the salesman?! That’s how I got my car for less than the trade-in value. It was an Optima LX at a Volvo dealership and they didn’t realize that all the extra packages the car had made the median sale price about $4000 more than they sold it to me for.

That’s what I was thinking! It looks like each segment of the arm is like 50ft long, so I’d definitely be driving with the mine farther out than 20 ft from the cab

Collaborative software is a pretty huge category. In most sub-categories, there’s a decent amount of competition, but Slack dominates the communication space.

I just meant in terms of raw speed. If specs on WRC cars were completely unrestricted, their average speeds would increase, but they’d still be doing huge parts of each stage at 40-80km/h

I think rally has some aspects of that. Sure, WRC cars might be limited to 380hp, but they’re very rarely at their top speed because going into the trees is a good way to get your team to drop you and/or die.

I agree a million percent. I have a Kia Optima, which is the boat of midsize sedans, and if I have trucks parked on both sides of me, it’s incredibly difficult to get out of a parking spot. It usually involves backing straight out of the spot and then doing a five point turn to get moving down the aisle, because if I

It’s crazy how far technology has come. My 2.4L I4 base model Kia Optima is 185hp and it’s basically the epitome of affordable commuter car.
