Are these all identical units? Because if they’re not... what if they need one in the middle?

When I was looking for a used car last summer, I emailed dealers stating that I’m preapproved by my bank for X% APR, and that I’m ready to put $X down, so if they give me [specific price down to the penny] it will be a nice round monthly payment.

Retared? Ratired? Retirad? Retaired?

I know it’s boring, but I love my black Optima with dark tint. It looks sleek. Although for my next car, I want a Stinger and I might opt for Thunder Grey instead of black:

Seriously, my car’s default setting is to lock the doors as soon as you put it in gear. Such a basic safety mechanism.

If you force another vehicle to yield when you have the yield sign, you’re doing it wrong. Look at the beginning of the video. It’s clear that as soon as the lights change, vehicles turning right will have a clear path. The only reason there isn’t a regular intersection here that allows right turns on red is that you

I feel like all the people making comments like this haven’t been to Pennsylvania. This particular turn lane configuration is super common (I originally thought I recognized this particular location because it’s such a common configuration), and the cop was absolutely in the right. This particular layout is just used

If you wait for the light to change, suddenly there will be no more cross traffic.... this type of merge is just a safer way to allow right turns on red.

Except that as soon as the lights change, that road is going to be wide open. These sorts of lanes are super common in PA. It’s not a merging lane, it’s just a safer way to allow right turns on red. You don’t “merge” when you’re making a right turn on red at a conventional intersection, and you don’t do it here either.

Do you think there were only blowouts while they were filming? It would have been a brief diversion for the period they were there, but documenting the issue is a way to put pressure on the city to fix it.

Do you think the first blowout occurred after they arrived? It also says a local called the police several times about that pothole. The news crew isn’t a department of public works. They’re recording what’s going on and shaming the city into taking action.

So the news crew is supposed to permanently park their truck in front of the pothole until the city decides to fix it? Do you think the 19 cars they recorded were the only 19 cars to get a flat and there weren’t cars getting flats before and after they were filming? The road flares they recorded only lasted 15

I’m fairly sure Waze also takes driving habits into account. For long trips, the estimated arrival time is usually EXACTLY correct because it seems to know exactly when I’m going to arrive. Weirdly enough, if I choose a destination while I’m still in my apartment (which I usually only do when I need to clear snow off

This is similar to what I do. My morning habit is to get up, take the dog out, come back in, eat breakfast while watching TV, play with the dog for a while, take a shower, and then walk the dog again.

It’s one thing for a place to be cash only or to have specific rules about using cards. The convenience store nearest me charges a small fixed fee for debit card transactions and a percentage for credit card transactions, and I don’t really mind it because they’re just passing the expense directly on to the customer

I hate the line of thinking that’s in this article. It’s like this one restaurant near me that has a sign near the cash register that says “Please consider using cash or your debit card instead of your credit card to help us save on fees!”

Huh, that’s really interesting. I always thought it was like if you’re pulling into a parking space, you can turn on these dimmer lights to get a better sense of how far you are from the car in front of you.

So it sounds like you already have an experience that’s similar to what you’d get from iMessage, but that it took a little bit of configuration to get it to function that way. My guess is that the significance of Google’s new thing is that it will automatically function that way by default for everybody. iMessage

Maybe here’s the difference: to have it work seamlessly, do your phone and laptop have to be together?
