Tesla is a permit holder already, so it’s different from the case of Uber previously where they tried to operate without a permit.

Does it not drive the car itself? It requires the human to pay attention and be prepared to take over should the need arise because it’s still a very infantile system.

It is FSD though. They’re saying that it’s still in beta and shit can go wrong so be sure to pay the fuck attention to it.

Level 2 seems to cover such a wide range that I don’t understand the hatred towards it.

Why is everybody so negative these days? 20 years ago, people would have been happy that we progress technologically. Now everything is bad and everybody that tries is bad. Nothing is good enough.

But Cybertruck dual motor supposedly will start at $49k and have Tesla’s charging network. Top of the range Cybertruck will be $69k. I sincerely doubt this will do anything to Cybertruck sales. 

I think they can compete by A. existing for purchase and B. costing half.

The base model EV2 is twice the price of a base Cybertruck, and a fully tricked out Cybertruck with Autopilot and triple motors is still cheaper than the base model. I’m sure Tesla will be fine.

In essence, it’s the game devs/publishers adopting a policy of looking the other way in exchange for publicity/buzz.

I basically make a habit of checking The Drive after scrolling through Jalopnik since Patrick and Stef ended up over there most recently.
