Gotcha, makes sense.

Right? It sounds like they were literally in a great place.

My guess would be one of two reasons, the first that it’s likely much harder to “de-age” someone to childhood. The difference between an 8 year old and a 30 year old is much less than a 38 and 60 year old. It’s also likely much easier when you have a lot of previous film footage of a person to work with, so being able

Two reasons:

It makes sense, though - there have already been a lot of big movies this year geared towards the nerd/comic book audience - Black Panther, Infinity War, Deadpool 2, Solo, Ready Player One. Adding in the recent Incredibles 2 and Jurrasic World, it’s hard not to see how audiences can be burnt out.

“I like it when there are multiple ways to learn or achieve [magic].”

Not sure if you’re into D&D, but over the editions they’ve introduced essentially that to character classes. In the 80's, you were a wizard or a cleric, so you either studied magic or gained power through worship of a god.

Now they’ve added sorcerors,

A few days ago you said the TMNT movies aren’t bad, so I don’t know if you have a lot of room to talk.

I came back to see the world made right again, but “Yes, once,” still isn’t top comment.

This truly is the darkest timeline.

Yes, once.

The top comment isn’t “Yes, once,” and that upsets me.

I feel like calling it the #1 board game ever is a bit disingenuous. It’s the #1 board game at the moment, but other games have had higher ratings in the past. Gloomhaven is just the most recent to be at the top.

The trend in BGG’s ranking the last few years has been that whatever hotness that year jumps into the top

Black Scorpion?

I don’t think Asmodee has had much to do with those decisions.

The X-Wing reboot seems a clear evolution of a game that was having major issues with power creep and some ships essentially disappearing from the meta. Moving the game to an app based squad builder will allow them to manage point costs much more easily,

Forbidden Stars is a fantastic board game that had a lot of expansion potential (more races/factions). Losing the license really hurt the longevity of the game.

Agreed. It’s hard to give GW money anymore, and I used to spend A LOT on 40k. Probably too much. They ran their game into the dirt and brought aboard an absolutely terrible writing team in the late 00's. I just couldn’t take anymore.

Solid reporting.

Congrats, this is the pinnacle of your life. I don’t know how you can achieve anything greater than that headline.

LARGE. MARGE.

How is Mario Run on this list, but not last year’s DICE award winner, Fire Emblem: Heroes?

This is the best of points.
