What frustrates me about this is that people love to complain about SNAP fraud when even if some of it was fraud, the amount we spend on that is NOTHING compared to what we spend on the military or healthcare. This is screaming over fractions of pennies.

I feel for you with your mom. It’s a terrible process to go through. My grandpa also had dementia. His paranoia and anxiety were made much worse by the fact that he kept himself isolated in front of the tv with Fox news blaring 24/7, which also sounds strangely familiar.

Full disclosure: my mother is going through this. When I hear Trump speak, all I can hear is the same paranoia and misunderstanding of facts combined with the repeating of words and phrases over and over.
