Having kids is stupid. I have three of them.

Ok compared to the Transit, these suck. And the Transit sucks pretty bad to begin with.
If you have kids, and who is buying a minivan if you don't, these are the worst possible options.
I was really into the idea of getting a Metris as a future family hauler, until I watched Doug DeMuro’s video and realized that the Metris is woefully unprepared to take on the duty of a modern minivan. CRACK PIPE AT ANY PRICE
Don’t forget they’ll have one thing Honda and Toyota can’t.
He might not get it, but that’s because it’s truly bad. You can buy an Odyssey/Sienna/whatever to accomplish the same thing for cheaper with more niceties.
Specs wise, other than towing, it’s no match for an Odyssey. Odyssey has more HP and about the same torque. No turbo shenanigans too. Odyssey has a much lower loading floor because they don’t have to make room for a driveshaft. Still, I voted NP because the price seems reasonable for what you get.
My thinking is that if 3500lb towing that a minivan can afford you isn’t enough, this metris with the small diesel won’t be a good tow pig either. It really isn’t that powerful or torquey. You may have to rev it out more, but the Sienna and Oddy are more powerful. Sure it has a nice diesel, but loaded down with…
Crack Pipe because Doug says so.
And not even current gen. It’s now an Elantra circa 2006.
It’s cleaner, but now it's an elantra
Yep. We had been raising our pay for all but the newly-hired layer of hourly employees for the last year or so (raises as well as bonuses based on performance). Obviously this situation screws all of that. Moreover, senior management here just gave back all of our 2019 performance bonuses (which were to have been paid…
They’ll file for bankruptcy, get bought out and most of the employees will retain their jobs.
Let the companies fail, then give the bailout money to the employees.
I’m OK with giving rental car companies relief money so long as there is a stipulation that none of the funds can be used to purchase Nissan Versa’s.
Nah. Fuck too big to fail. A few are, but most businesses just wish they were.
For companies that want bailouts, I think there should be a set of criteria to qualify.
1. If you spent your giant tax break money on stock buybacks - go fuck yourself.
2. If your CEO got a giant bonus from tax break money - go fuck yourself
3. If your employees are woefully underpaid, worked to death, and have no…
One of the nicest ones I’ve seen and if *everything* works, as advertised, quite unusual. Still, $4,900 is too much. Maybe $3,000. More likely $2,000. CP
4 days too late ... ;)
Since it’s basically a Model 3 that had too many pies, should it just be the Model 3.14?
