God this was so fucking good. The season premiere is like 1000 miles away at this point. I’ve loved each episode since, and this one was like a great masterclass in visual storytelling and sound design and editing, something the premiere botched in every possible way.

Just here to recommend two BB King live albums. Both Live at the Regal and Live in the Cook County Jail. They are reminders that King was famous for a reason and wasn’t always an old man that had to sit to perform.

The Hold Steady’s “A Positive Rage” is a great recording of the band at the height of their bar-band-belting-anthems best. Listening to it I can be transported to the place I first saw them play live.
