This struck me as concerning, too.
I've been pretty happy with my Asus G74SX. It's a beast of a laptop, and runs most every game very well, though I have to tone down BF3 to keep my framerate around 40-45fps @ 1920x1080.
I'm interested, but for a completely different reason than stated here. I want a small form factor PC to play games on, but also to act as an always-on media server on my home network. I like how little power this draws, how small it is (it'll fit in my desk's PC cabinet with room to spare), and I can use i as a…
It's tough to justify PC-only AAA titles nowadays. The console trough is just too deep to ignore. When a rehashed iteration like MW3 can sell 17 million copies in a few short weeks, game developers must take notice—low risk, high profit potential.
Everyone talking about how to fill this with signal is overlooking one important trend. Peter Jackson is filming The Hobbit in 48fps. That's going to double whatever demands normal film would usually place upon its storage media and streaming bandwidth.
I'd say we'd be comparable to bacterium in the eyes of such a civilization. I doubt they'd even do us the courtesy of reading us Vogon poetry before unleashing their Destructor Fleet upon us.
Damn, wish some of those were larger. Desktop background resolution, please!!
This is more likely a ploy to leverage more campaign contributions (*cough* bribes *cough*) out of the lobbyists before they bring it to a vote. The constituents don't like it, so that means more risk to the politicians' next campaign, which means they can demand more money from the hog trough.

This is good to hear. If the point of the article is to show a video, then I can understand the context-sensitive nature of the design. Just please don't forget that many of us come here to read the articles, and more importantly, participate in the excellent comments—something which the Gawker UI needs to highlight…
For the first time, I actually spotted Punkbuster kicking a cheater from the game. The server posted some comment about XXXX kicked for "MULTIHACK" or something. Good to see that Punkbuster is doing *something*.
Has anyone else tried flagging cheaters in Battlelog? It took me ages to find the button to do so, but it's there in the player profile, a very tiny exclamation mark icon in the upper right hand corner.
I'm of like mind. I've never played a Hitman title, but the move from stealth to superhero for the Splinter Cell protagonist was not a good one. I want to be in and out, leaving no trace except for a few surgical executions, when necessary.
I've only ever picked up a controller on my PC for flight simulations. I'm actually itching to try it out with Battlefield 3, since flying a chopper with KB+Mouse is nigh impossible for me.
This is another step away from giving your readership what they want. Look closely at that word: "readership". Notice it looks nothing like: "viewership". Pictures make sense where the point of the article is to show something, but there are many posts here that aren't aided in any way by large images taking up major…
Yes, that's what PC gamers want: PC power and console controllers. Uh, wait...
Because Skyrim's UI needs yet another layer of confusion?
I would feel like an idiot playing games on that. Not to mention it bypasses the two main reasons to game on a pc: keyboard and mouse.
