JSA is impeccable. Johns' Flash run is a thing of beauty as well, and his first story arc for Action Comics which brings the original LoSH back to life is good goddam fun. Johns is not perfect by any means, but he's got his wins to counterbalance his losses.
I don't love the ending for Ralph and Sue in 52. I'm satisfied by it, but I'm not happy that that's where their story needed to go in the first place.
They make good breakfast burritos, there though. Now that's something to be proud of!
Still… seeing a Jim Lawson drawing on a wall in a museum makes my heart warm. Its worth a visit, I think. Right next door to the new Dr. Seuss museum, too.
It's pretty awesome. They even have the video game up and running. God, I hated that fucking game.
I got a kick out of the "clap your hands" moment in Morrison's Zatanna series.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I was on the ground floor for the black & white explosion in the 80s, as there was a brand new comic shop at the local mall and I didn't have to buy comics at the pharmacy anymore. I still have the magazine sized issue #4, and like a 3rd or 4th printing of #1. I loved that book. It was so…

That's what I'm planning for. I want to prep him for the world but protect him from it. It's an untenable situation, really.
Sure he does, he just doesn't let Batman know when he's doing it.
A friend made me read the first one. "It's good!" he said. I'm still friends with him, but I no longer take book recommendations from him.
Stop trying to read new stuff. Go to a used bookstore and find out of print stuff you've never heard of before. Zelazny, Dick, Andersen, Offut, Farmer etc.
Robert Bloch, Fritz Lieber, Karl Edward Wagner, Robert E. Howard, Charles Stross.
I read the first Fitz book and while I liked it okay, I didn't feel at the end that I ever needed to revisit those characters and that world. I was good with the one.
The balance is the joy they otherwise bring and the overall enrichment of your life with them in it.
You pray who you pray to and I'll pray to who I pray to, and maybe this will work out safely for everyone.
No, Satan is Satan. Are you even trying to pay attention?
I have a five year old. I don't think it ever gets easier.
Normally I'm not a praying man, but if you're up there Superman, please keep an eye out for this little girl and get her home safe.
