If that's what we need to get good versions of Batman and Superman movies, then bring on the feminist cabal, I say!

I saw Wonder Woman in 2D yesterday. It was really good.
I think if that was the case, Ares would have been a lot more "spent" by 1918.
Yeah, the reveal at the end that the German soldiers at the airstrip are just kids was heartbreaking and realistic. Their palpable relief at being alive after all that sturm and drang, was welcome, too.
She is literally the best thing about the movie, but she's got maybe 15 minutes of screen time, tops. It's almost worth it though for her big reveal as Wonder Woman, with the theme music kicking in and all.
Yeah, the long list of horrors met and people in need and Steve and the others pushing her on ("We don't have time") and Diana finally saying, "No, we're going to save these people."
"But Charlie, who will sing for us?"
"Faintly" is being generous.
Yeah. That was fucking great.
She was definitely the highpoint of BvS:DoJ, and one of the reasons I was actually hopeful for the WW going into it. I'm so glad I was not disappointed.
CONCLUSION:
"It can be two things."
Thanks!
We watched The Princess Bride last night. Tricky reconciling that version of Robin Wright with the one from Wonder Woman but then again that triple arrow move… fucking Hawkeye hasn't done anything that cool yet. Why not?
I think the one thing this movie did that the MCU movies have managed to do is really do a great job of casting and bringing the comic book character as they exist in the comics to life on the screen. That was as near a perfect version of cinematic Diana Prince as I could have hoped - and after seeing Snyder's version…
Wonder Woman first appearing in 1941 (same year as Captain America, actually!), so she was explicitly tied to WWII from the start.
One of the things I enjoyed was seeing Diana level up from fight to fight. She just kept getting tougher - when she first picked up the truck I wanted to squee but I held it in.
And rightfully so.
Yep, with Julian Glover being all Julian Glover all over the place, too. Great story.
I never read the books, myself. I tried the first Dirk Gently and was utterly underwhelmed, so I just decided Adams wasn't for me. Then a friend handed me the TV series and made me watch it. I enjoyed it a lot. Having been a lifelong Doctor Who fan, the show felt to me like a parody/funhouse version of Who, and that…
You might even say… it's two things.
