I’m not sure it’s Jalopnik’s fault that a Finnish study had these findings. Are we really surprised that dudebro asshats prefer flashy, fast cars? Or that people looking for flashy, fast cars only have a few brands to choose from in order to achieve their status display goals? This is just psychologists figuring out

I need to try that. Someone keeps double parking their non-M BMW x-something SUV at work and our security team has done nothing about it despite my protests. This would be ok if it was a valuable or rare car, but a normal mid tier SUV? Nonsense.

You were cool and appreciated fast cars when there were few to choose from. Then you got married and also owned a second car for the family.

Buy a Corvette. Everyone gets super excited to find out that you have one, they all want rides, and there's no lack of speed.

That gif is glorious.

Same here but we're in the greys so nobody will ever know...

I built a stealth camp and hid it in the mountains where no other players go. Nobody has bothered it ever since. I have everything I need and the other players cause me no problems now.

Because it's a lot better than these blogs will admit. And it's fun exploring new maps even if the Vertibots are chasing each other in circles and giant bat monster things are falling out of the sky dead every block or so. The glitches are part of the charm.

It’s nice to see some positive comments. To me, FO76 = FO4.5 and honestly I’m really enjoying it. Huge new map, new baddies, new equipment, and higher difficulty than 4 (I suck at these games but I love them) means I’ll spend thousands of hours sneaking around exploring and sniping.

I just wish it was more up to date. I've pulled up Google maps to see a sea of red throughout my commute, yet the roads are empty. It's difficult to make decisions with outdated info.

Can't star this enough...

Sounds like it’s time to go aftermarket... No way my car would sit that long without me finding an alternative.

Exactly. I picked up a 65" Samsung TV, in the box, and slid it right into the hatch area of my Stingray. Tied the hatch down and drove home.

Thought 1: I’m never buying a Toyota vehicle if they all come with a DCM sending data to a server about my driving.

This is very interesting. It would help to have more explanation of how it works, how fast it can go, etc.

Just give me a modern G35 coupe. Not a warmed over Q something, but a fresh design that’s as groundbreaking as the G35 was, with performance that beats today’s competition like the G did back then.

Lots of things that were never actually fast don’t seem fast, true. But now we have lots of things that are actually fast and do seem very, very fast. Model S and Taycan come to mind, or for just one example, a used C6 Z06 which can be found for the same $$ as a new Accord.

Scrolled down until I saw a W8 pic. Thank you!

This deserves 1,000 stars. Nobody seems to understand why this is a game changer. It will make ICE seem slow and outdated to the people who used to hate BEVs. All of a sudden BEVs will be the new hotness.

The Alpha types that bought Hummers care a great deal about performance. This is the new family brodozer and every male in need of a d*** extension will buy one.
