Nope. Even before the sequels, people were complaining it was poorly plotted and structured, with too much stupid comedy, haphazard editing, and stereotypes and not enough focus on the robots.
I'll admit I'm shamelessly enamored of dubstep, but even y'all can admit it makes for appropriate accompaniment to giant robots. I mean, how much different could the sound effects for those scenes be?
