@malishka: Sounds like you already have :D

I'm gladder than ever now that when I was in NYC a few years back we saw Gypsy and Hairspray.
@malishka: Kolya is great, and I am even more happy with Nikolai now. Mr. Writinguy is a native Spanish speaker from Argentina...and has utterly no interest in carrying on his naming tradition. (He took on a French first name when his mother changed his last name back to her maiden name after her divorce when he was…
@Melpomene: A baby? I must admit, I watched SO many R-rated movies babysitting a 3-month-old in high school. If the kid is old enough to repeat it, I understand...though I still don't understand why they would have them out that late.
@malishka: Over here we're at least 2-3 years from having one but we still talk about it. He likes Russian names (neither of us is in any way Russian). I think we have compromised on Nikolai, but the rest are up for debate.
@DonnaPirana: @knouffm (I'm boring and mainly talk at my sister about baseball, fair warning)
@SarsDoesntSave: We had a mulberry tree back behind out house in college and made jungle juice out of them.
GO REDS. I cannot WAIT til my team is in town next month and I get to be the weirdo cheering them on. Top of National League Central right now and close enough to topping off the league that it pleases me greatly. :D
But does the bustle...explode?
I thought they couldn't put gravestones out during the winter? I had a family member die in December some years ago, and she didn't get a headstone until May either.
@la.donna.pietra: Yeah, that's another factor and another reason why HDM isn't a fair comparison. Harry Potter did a thing to books unseen since Frodo Baggins, and something thought nearly impossible in the digital age. It opened up pathways for a lot of really good YA fantasy series (The Bartimaeus Trilogy! Holly…
@rd2uk: Well, the first Golden Compass book...I remember reading it when I was about 15...ouch, yeah, that came out in 1995. It's hard to timeline-compare it to Twilight when the trilogy ended several years before Twilight, and the whole deal even started pre-Potter (which is probably the most apt comparison).
@KiddyKat: I was just thinking how I would, too. A day in New York? Definitely. We could hang out at the Strand, and Central Park, and get pizza, and talk about books and feminism.
@elembee: On a quick scan, it seems to be talking about honors programs and girls put together in them (with a much smaller correlated increase for boys). I do think, though, that it has more to do with what you're saying; it's easier to have friends who understand the need for a night in studying.
My fiance REQUESTED celery when I decided last month that we were both going on a healthier diet. Said it was one of the few vegetables he likes. (Personally, I'd prefer artichokes or broccoli.)
@Nigglesnoosh: Watcher in the Woods! I remember watching that in fifth grade at my friend Heather's (of course, Heather) house. After dancing to Michael Jackson, of course.
@comrade tacky: 80's or not, I think that makes your style pretty awesome.
@Tom.Cruise.Is.Weird: Me too! I am so happy. And I imagine half my Twitter is wondering what the hell Jezebel is.
@TheFitz: The perfect sentiment. I hope to be there myself in a couple years.
@mitzihome: Many, many of us have been there—back in December my normally regular, placid, been there every month for the past 16 years period decided to skip a month (probably, as I learned later, due to stress from my recent engagement/move/diet change). I took TWO home tests and didn't rest until a doctor finally…
