I thought it was a new sitcom.
I thought it was a new sitcom.
I only heard of the film because I live in Atlanta, and my life was inconvenienced by it.
Why not educate the old-ass people about not making everyone have to hug your dessicating body because you yearn for another human’s touch? Get a dog already.
I guess I had it pretty good. It usually went something like:
Thank you for this. I’m working on this from the opposite angle sort of—my three-year old (son) sometimes forces hugs/kisses on his friends and/or cries if they don’t want to hold hands. It’s especially uncomfortable for me when it’s one of his girlfriends, given my own baggage and the torrent of triggers DJT has…
The difference between feeding a kid and having them hug someone is key: you have to feed them, bathe them, and get them to sleep for their own good. A hug or any physical contact isn’t necessary for their staying alive and isn’t “for their own good” it’s for social norms.
This article is the perfect response to those who say talks around consent need to happen in high school or college. No, teaching there must be consent to touch should be from day one. If my nephew doesn’t want to give me a hug, then I see if a high-five of fist bump is ok. If he still says no then ok, maybe next…
Amen. My kid is five. If she wants to hug you, she will go for it. If she doesn’t want to hug you, she won’t. Don’t go against her will.
I think I saw a trailer for it before the most recent “Bourne” movie, but that is seriously the ONLY way I was aware this film existed.
Me neither, and Ms. Scout and I enjoying going to the movies, too.
I think I might have heard of it, but when I saw the headline, I was confused why there was an article about a David Duchovny flick from 2009, which I haven’t seen, either.
I believe I saw the trailer and promptly forgot it.
On the other hand I finally watched Spy on HBO this weekend. Wow what a great film, I laughed my butt off. Melissa McCarthy & Paul Feige knocked it out of the park.
Does anyone watch Talking Dead? It seems a lot of the comments on here so far seem to think Negan will be done with at the end of the season or the next...from what I’ve gathered by watching Talking Dead last night, Negan isn’t going away anytime soon...and that this is a turning point in the show’s direction more so…
The showrunners have said before that the title refers to the humans and not the walkers, so yes!
Ugh. JDM plays him so well. I’m a grade A lesbian over here but damn if this psychopath doesn’t make me think my whole life has been a lie.
I know. He’s 10/10.
& then struggling with being physically attracted to someone obviously so maniacal and full of mayhem
Ms. DeMaio suggested that perhaps the two men were just “friends” or “great companions.”
What a fascinating thread you’ve started. I read each one. Such a disappointment that we need to consider such things, but It’s great to see so many great solutions. I wish we would collectively teach our young men how to behave themselves better.
