I wonder how much enthusiasts actually liking their cars goes to reducing the sales numbers. Most of us are unlikely to be leasing cars or swapping them around every couple of years, so in essence there is a pretty strict natural cap on how many manual cars you can sell in a given period of time.

Yep. Stick is at this point like any other hobby - you have to be into it to appreciate it. I cannot possibly imagine myself deliberately choosing to get *any* auto over my AWD manual hatch, but I can count on my hands the number of people I know who are into cars for being fun, the rest just want point-A-to-point-B…

+1. RS is so much fun in winter! The most fun I’ve had driving a car in winter. Ground clearance can get in the way, fact. Also, aluminum undertray is a must (the stock whatever material will eventually croak, especially with slush).
