[Removed] Necro thread
Having driven every-WD kind of car in winter, I second this. I have never had as easy of a time driving in snow as I did on a FWD Civic with snow tires (that is until the Focus RS on Snows). That thing could get through half a foot of snow like it was a joke, uphill, downhill, around corners. Being FWD it also was…
Clearly they can’t, or highways would not turn into parking lots at the slightest suggestion of snow. Nobody would need winter tires if they all drove sensibly on AS, kept following distances, and didn’t lock up the brakes in turns or on lane changes over slush, but in lieu of that snow tires would help reduce winter…
That’s pedantic. Of course someone *needs* AWD or 4x4 - say plow truck drivers on local roads. “Everyone” refers to a layman here, not someone who lives on a mountain in Montana and has to drive uphill both ways.
Yet, mostly people are convinced they *need* AWD. I see it all the time in Upstate NY. Everyone’s always touting how they GOTTA have it, and then they drive around on generic brand balding all-seasons. It’s fun watching all the SUVs sticking ass up out of snow banks during the winter as you blast past em in your…
Haha! That sounds like a fun childhood. I am a stickler for rules myself, always have been - even if my parents weren’t as much. Still seatbelts / safety were very important always.
Nobody should be climbing in a moving vehicle. Pull over and get the damn thing.
Oh god why
Sounded like maybe to the side on the sidewalk there, or maybe out of a window?
I don’t get how the side-walk impacts are even happening! Texters? Distracted? Demented?
That reaction is great! “Why would you do thaaaat?!”
The mouse got this one!
It’s like a giant rip-cord! That’s awesome
True! That too! The absurd ADMs for no goddamn reason, and trying to gamble customers against each other. The RS forums have plenty of horror stories from larger dealers particularly in Cali who were just complete arsewipes about it. Dumb dealers putting a 15K ADM on a car, and then - funny enough - complaining when…
Which to me would a bit weird, because it’s really not that big of a deal - esp on later inventory that would not have had this issue to begin with. The problem was imo blown out of proportion.
Yeah, there was this brief blip in the past 3 years with Ford bring the RS to the US. Love mine, but they sold like crap in the end. There was a bunch of us snagging the ‘16s, and many of the 17's, but toward the late-17/18 run, they were sitting around on lots.
Unlikely
It only gets weirder from there!
I’m 3 or 4 episodes in, and I have to concur that the show isn’t quite up to my expectations either. I was hoping for something much funnier. Still watching it because what the hell, it’s Matt Groening, I like his stuff, but the funny isn’t as strong here.
