If you had to pay 3.74 mil in order to take delivery, it sold for 3.74 mil.

“One car that’s interesting should still be in a garage in Australia; ran when parked, from the movie “On the Beach.””

I know who Steve McQueen is, but that price for that Mustang? Never. It would be like someone now paying top dollar for 1930s movie cars.

Same catagory as Elvis memorabilia. Only Baby Boomers get it. In a few years,Baby Boomers will be too old to drive, and the new generation is going to ask Steve who?

-2.

Damn it, Bullitt was a pretty good movie over all. Slow and deliberate and without much “dialogue” or “action”. But I’d put it better than average in the overall history of cinema.

“rumors in the room claimed the car would hit as high as $5 million, but as bidding crested the 3 mil mark”

How many hubcaps did it come with?

All of those cars you had but set aside for whatever reasons were also just life experiences. You never mentioned if you actually got rid of them or if this new addition is just a way to get away from home for a while just to add it to the clutter when you get back home.

Facts ^^^ Thing 100% had a head gasket failure and somewhere along the line someone thought it would be a good idea to throw a bottle (or 5) of liquid headgasket repair into it. That shit will ruin a motor.

When you hit the wheelstop but still crash through the front of the store.

this is my moment

“Under the hood is a 3.9-liter V8 that apparently doesn’t work.”

Lots of Delicas up here in Canada, especially in BC.

They’re super rad until you get stuck behind one on the Coq...

Not sure I would define someone getting their legs amputated driving a delivery van a hero.

That POS is what brought on the guy’s heart attack.

Too bad we don’t know anybody who’s good at making lists.

Beat me to it.  here’s yer star.

Both of these takes are wrong because both of these Porsches have driven under their own power.

Fixing the roof is not hard. I bet 90%+ will come out if you lay on your back and push it up with your feet. Some friends had to do that on an old Ford Ranger that got rolled while off-roading. It was crushed far enough that you couldn’t sit up straight. With three guys pushing on it, it went back into shape well
