My favorite detail is the fact that just before the envelope snafu, *ahem*, unfolded, Bad Luck Brian was busy posting a now-deleted picture of Emma Stone backstage with her Best Actress Oscar... hashtagged #PWC. Teehee, oopsie!

It is terrifically underwhelming. Why did they do a shot for shot recreation? Why does the cartoon have better pathos and facial expressions than the real life version? Why can’t she stand straight???

She seems to have a decent singing voice but the pitch correction is BRUTAL.

I would not be surprised if the costume designer from Reign on the CW is doing the costumes for this movie—16th century silhouettes influenced by 21st century trends. But for the most part, the costumes on Reign are actually beautiful and don’t look like the worst of Free People.

I’m not really on Team ‘Emma Watson can act’, so I may be a tad biased, but all this clip achieved was to remind me how lovely Paige O’Hara’s singing voice is.

Because she is not singing.

Emma gives off a “I’m better than all of you” vibe, whereas Cartoon Belle was, as you said, walking around in her own daydream.

Emma may have the look for Belle, but her voice is not suited for the character. I’m sorry, but this live version looks like garbage.

Emma seems kinda pissed off and slouchy through this scene. Cartoon Belle was tired of the town also, but was more upbeat/hopeful during her morning routine, specifically when she talks about books.
