We need to subsidize public transportation in big cities. The goal should be to move as many people as possible not change the type of cars on the road. Imagine what $8,000 per person could do for someone who uses a bus to get to work? Why give that to someone to buy a $100,000 car who doesn’t really need it?

I hate to be that guy, but am I the only one who’s already thought of this? As automatics have become more common and actually shift faster than manuals, it was only a matter of time before manuals are phased out altogether. Some people still want the experience of rowing gears.

The car’s an automatic, but there’s also an H-pattern shifter, like you’d find in any manual transmission car. You can shift gears once you put it into manual mode without needing a clutch. Kind of like using paddle shifters, but with a stick.
