What I meant was Medicare was not made to fail like ACA was. I know I pay Medicare tax.

I would have a $2000 + fine if I didn’t carry an approved plan. It’s cost effective for me to have a plan if you take the fine in to account.

Medicare is (mostly) a self funded system, but I don’t agree with social security either.

Well, until the private doctors come along to my area. I’ll buy a membership for my family and pay for insurance to cover the big things. ACA doesn’t give me that choice right now.
