Edge of Tomorrow was a great movie.
Tom Cruise, despite personal life choices, plays very likeable characters which make for surprisingly likeable movies as well.

Try Final Fantasy 12? I love the artstyle (the story is decent enough, not great) and it isn’t turn based, well not traditionally turn based. Check some videos on the combat on youtube.
