It amuses me that “read to the end of the short article” needs to be signposted : )

Nazis also thought they were helping humanity.

He could shut it down, that would help.

Well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating ... and possibly Peacemaker and Vigilante shooting it.

It’s a show that lies about cops and makes them look better so they can keep being racist, sadistic, murderers.”

Everyone loved The Sopranos because yes, it was good, but it was also about the Italian mob, following a long tradition of beloved films of the same ilk. It was popular by doing a well-executed twist on the familiar. A predominantly Black show was never going to be as popular, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t better.

And it puts a couple of shows that I would say were either flashes in the pan (Girls) or that haven’t aged particularly well (Sex and the City) ahead of masterworks like Chernobyl.

I mean leaving out Oz–the show that kicked off HBO’s golden age, and one that’s still remarkably relevant–is fundamentally disqualifying.

The recency bias here is insane. Does no one over 25 work here anymore?

I still want Arya Sailin’ & Fightin’ 'round the World more than any prequel.

At least he didn’t say “Where’s my laundry?”

at his age and temperament shouldn’t we just assume Harrison Ford thinks every Asian adult is Short Round?  LOL

Okay that’s cute.  :)

That was exactly what I was thinking of when posting the original comment. And I agree it was pretty great! The story and voice acting especially were a lot of fun. And yep, it lined up pretty perfectly with this, out in October and I bought it for ~$20 during the winter Steam sale. It came to Game Pass two or three

The game’s writing and storytelling work more often than not—especially in the quieter moments that play heavily into its themes of found family and legacy.

That is my thought too. I think this will be on sale around the holiday season, and then I will bite.

Same! But on the bright side(??) it’s reviewing poorly enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was $20 by Christmas(or on Game Pass), so at least it would be too big of a purchase for a so-so game.

Besides: It’s been seven damn years since Arkham Knight came out. I gotta get my Bat-Fix somehow.”

Yeah, that’s what I always come back to. Even if god were real (and that’s a big if), the god described by the bible is absolutely not an entity worthy of worship.

Also agree with License to Kill, although fuck, that decompression chamber scene was hugely disturbing when I was a kid. Was not prepared for that level of brutality in a Bond film.
