For me, the moment that really made it was when I saw Spider-man keep the Infinity Gauntlet away from Thanos by grabbing onto Mjolnir that was thrown by Captain America.

The chapter on the making of Rushmore is practically a Wes Anderson movie in itself. Bill Murray pisses off everybody with his aloofness, so he takes them out for chicken fried steak, and all is forgiven.

Adjusting movies for inflation is a fool’s game though. Sites that do so never seem to take into account international box office, the relative cost of tickets versus wages, let alone something more complex like audience attention economy.

“Avengers...Assemble”

Here’s an idea for Indiana Jones 5:

Really wish they’d stop trying to force a fourth Indiana Jones movie.

Guys, here me out. What if we made domestic violence illegal?

Right, I know. Whenever I hear of child abuse and domestic violence my immediate thought is how can I protect the career of the abuser.

You’ve probably noticed by now Blind Prophet has been consistently moving the goalposts in their replies to me.

America’s ass is worth every penny!

I love Tessa Thompson just coolly walking in, like, “Mama’s fixin’ to whoop all y’all’s asses.”

How Thor Rocket and Groot’s entrance into Wakanda in Infinity War isn’t on this list is ludicrous. The most pure comic book splash panel moment ever.

When she wrote, “that a whole country is desperately clinging to as a final hope,” I assumed she meant American fans hoping another fucking Boston team doesn’t win a championship.

Trust me, this whole country most definitely was not cheering for the Leafs, no matter what BS Ms. Theisen tries to push.

As a Canadian, allow me to say...

Good.

Captain America wasn’t exactly on the sidelines in Avengers: Infinity War, but for a character of his importance, he certainly played a smaller role.

No, you turning an ultra-toxic fan throwing racial epithets towards an athlete and him responding by saying “I’ll fuck you up and your wife” - a situation which ended with the fan getting perma-banned and Russ facing no punishment whatsoever - into “threatening to hit a woman” as the sole summary of that situation -

Yes, goal scoring was up across the league this season, but that doesn’t explain Tampa’s extraordinary goal differential, particularly compared to that of other teams.

There. Is. No. Plan. It’s a 40-year, multi-billion dollar franchise and they have. no. plan.

I don’t want to say that what happens in Episode 8 [didn’t happen]. We have honored that. But I will say that there’s more to the story than you’ve seen.
