In general, I’m a bit agnostic about spoilers. They bother some people and don’t bother others, so everyone should be able to choose their level of spoilery-ness, which is why spoiler alerts are right and respectful.

The problem with what you just wrote is that is all real life. In the movie, it’s all acting and, I’m sorry to say, Jude Law’s “longing face” is pretty much the same thing as his “staring out into the distance face,” i.e. it’s pretty meaningless. Unless there’s some concrete evidence, nothing in the film indicates…

It’s not the fact that these two movies didn’t show it, it’s the fact that these two movies and the eight previous movies and all of the books didn’t show it. It’s the fact that she’s only stated it on ancillary media and never confirmed it with a book or movie.
