Fun. They’re doing it for fun. It’s supposed to be entertaining, not realistic. If there’s anything movies like Infinity War and Thor Ragnarok have taught us, it’s to let go of the nitpicks and have fun. Everything about these characters and stories are ridiculous, if you’re getting hung up on things like water

I guess the counterpoint to that is that when you’re a talented actor on the rise you have options and he could have gone and gotten his payday elsewhere.  Easy for us to say we’d do it for that money, especially when no one is offering us money to be in their movies.

It’s actually pretty impressive that they managed to take a really bright, talented, charismatic actor like Oscar Isaac, bury him under 50 lbs of makeup and costume and suck all the life out of him until he ends up being some boring grey/blue blob on the screen.

FINE! Take my damn money, time, my marriage, etc.....

“Racism and bigotry are among the deadliest social ills plaguing the world today. Unlike costumed supervillains, they can’t be halted with...a zap from a ray gun. They only way to destroy them is to expose them - to reveal from the insidious evil they really are.”

Would you cal him...... Clony Romo?

On point number 2, it doesn’t matter if those people think it’s a gun problem or a mental health problem because they’re not doing anything to address either one of those issues.

Reno?

I’m very appreciative when someone writes an article about an adaptation of Kipling’s work and takes the time to remind everyone that he was super racist.

I’m sure this will result in a civil and well reasoned debate about Star Wars.....

Take your star and LEAVE

I think this is actually BLAKE BORTLES V: Can’t be worse than Rocky V, right? RIGHT?!

Won’t be Toronto, we don’t have the stadium for it and no one is interested in building one.

Misandry isn’t real.

Sounds like they really think “Revolution” is a key part of the title.  They’re right.

I don’t know, I think John Mulaney is an inspired choice to voice Spider Ham!

This supports my theory that Kim married him based on the idea that she’d look a lot better standing next to his train wreck.

I feel like Gambit is already a bit of a problematic character that leaning into that and making his movie a sex comedy is a big swing and a miss.

Not that it matters since there is no way this movie ever gets made.

There are good reasons to be opposed to this idea, yours is not one of them. The reasons why the movie failed are obvious, a hack director who didn’t have any appreciation for the source material made that flick as opposed to this which is helmed by two people who are intimately familiar with and deeply appreciative

I think they’re desperately hoping they can backdoor Venom into the MCU.  It’s misguided hope but I get the motivation.
