Another big reason why I consider Valhalla the culmination of a decade’s worth of open-world design.

Not only does it get better mileage than a WRX, it’s more comfortable too (my god, the seats).
Can personally confirm a C7 Z51 with the 3LT trim (basically one with everything you’d want), with 20K miles, can be found for $37K.
This is almost as cruel as PDX’s 2020 autoshow, where the current gen Acura NSX was forced to be in the shadow behind the podium for the new C8 Stingray.
Lambo’s Aventador replacement.
[much surprise and respect for not putting TLoU2 here]
Short term, get to 150K gamerscore. I’m at over 148 right now, so in a month I’ll probably hit it.
I’d also add “Try Out Genres You’ve Overlooked.” This service is quite possibly the best way right now to give kinds of games you’ve usually steered away from a chance, be it out of a budget that doesn’t allow for risks/experimentation, or being burned on them once before.
I’d give credit to Forza Motorsport 4 for doing this as well/a few years later; while not so much on Japanese kei cars and other weirdness, it had a but of stuff that arguably shouldn’t be in a racing game.
I’d say Forza Motorsport 3 was the one that really raised the bar, being the first game in the franchise that wasn’t just a competitor to Gran Turismo, but an outright alternative that fixed the faults GT didn’t knew it had.
So, “best game soundtrack of 2020" from me would go to AC Valhalla (it brought back Jesper Kyd and sea shanties, it kind of wins by default for doing that), and Spiritfarer’s overall sound design deserves a honorable mention as well, but the stuff that got me through this year the most all came out of my backlog.
The Abarth version was the outright hottest version of the platform (170 hp, compared to the Mx5's 130), and honestly it was reasonable performance, especially when you can pick a new one up for $30K (the same as an MX5).
Halo 4 is the best franchise entry of the 2010s.
Other great snow levels:
welp... time to review all the fake cars featured in the forza games.
No one show this to Stef, we’ll never hear from her ever again
[opens betting pool on which PS5 games get delayed until 2022 or later, because the PS4 did that all the time]
Oregon: the momentary oasis for west coast muscle
By far and away, it’s the PS3 (final year, with the sliding disc tray).
