Gandalf isn’t human. He is one of the servants of the Valar, he takes human form but he’s basically a god. His physical body can be killed, but his spirit would return to Valinor and he could be sent back by the gods to do battle again. Sort of how he became Gandalf the Grey to Gandalf the White.
They had me at Denis Villeneuve. Blade Runner 2049 was a masterpiece, and I feel like Dune will be in good hands with Villeneuve!

If you want superhero comics without getting into Marvel/DC and their events, I recommend Image Comics’ Invincible, if you haven’t read it. You can think of it sort of like the adventures of Superboy, son of Superman. It’s very fun.
