The picture is actually taken at JRB Fort Worth (Carswell) . You can see a TXANG C-130H in the background along with F-16s of the 301 FW/AFRES in their shelters. The F-15s are visiting from New Orlean’s 159 FW/LAANG. Not sure about the F/A-18s, I can’t see the tail.

I was at Lawson Army Airfield many moons ago on a C-130 uploading paratroopers when we heard an aircraft request a lights out landing.

Two is always better than one but the Super Tucano’s PT-6 is an incredible engine. Just google it and you’ll see how many aircraft use it and how long it has been around. Very reliable. Of course that means nothing if a golden BB takes it out!

Oh I remember those days back at Luke in the mid 90s. Never failed that someone would leave their car alarm on and then the Vipers would start taking off around 7am.

LOL,

A lot of folks think the Air Force hates the Hog but that’s not the fact at all. The crews and maintainers love it. I can’t speak for the leadership of the DoD but they need to think hard about it’s replacement. I believe we should allways have a simple to operate/easy to maintain/survival bomb truck in our inventory.
