I mean, it’s a cult. It’s not CONSIDERED a cult by many because it is large, and well established. If there were as many scientologists as there are evangelicals, they’d be considered a mainstream religion and not a cult too. Christianity itself started out as a cult in the Middle East until it went mainstream now

The problem isn’t his mental illness (if he indeed has one...narcissism is a personality disorder, not a mental illness per se), the problem is the fascism and the stupidity. Let’s not insult mentally ill people by saying that they are in any way like Trump.

So great that the president openly endorses his violent white supremacist supporters while the supposed opposition party runs away from largely peaceful anti-fascists.

Fundamental Evangelical Christianity is only not considered a cult because there are so damn many evangelicals. Think of it: They encouraged to break off contact with non-believers, can’t listen to secular music, obliged to tithe a large portion of their income to their church, and are told who to hate, who to support

That doesn’t include the money that the campaign funneled to Trump through him. I bet the real number is near 100 million or more

I think it’s kinda gone beyond transactional for evangelicals at this point, and I don’t necessarily think they see Trump as disgusting but begrudgingly support him just for the circumstantial benefits.

Excuse me?

Well, the Republicans certainly put to rest any question about which party is the official party of “kill grandma”, haven’t they?  More than 8 in 10 COVID-19 deaths have been those aged 65 and over.

I think you meant unemployment, but I get you.  If we had single payer healthcare, companies would actually have to treat people like people.

A major part of Reagan’s policies were based on the fact that women’s liberation and US ethnic minorities had just overcame major hurdles and the more oppressive parts of society needed something angry and hateful to feed the poorer white voters. This was the still hot animus that the GOP appeal and still appeal to

Of course he used a dress shirt as an example. Of course he did.

Since at least Reagan the economic core of the Republican Party has been just this: that the role of the government in the economy is only to protect accumulated wealth and the ability to use accumulated wealth to gain more more wealth.  That Democrats, for 40 years now, have failed to translate Republicans’

“You damn people always looking for a handout! Stop wasting your damn money on frivolous crap like food and housing! Hell, maybe you shouldn’t have gotten cancer if you couldn’t afford it!”

Wow, it’s almost like having a system where your ability to receive adequate care being tied completely to your employment in a pandemic where employment skyrocketed is not a great idea.  The fact that these soulless ghouls can not take in any new information that shifts their worldview as people suffer and die is so

The real reason Republicans were up in arms about Obamacare Death Panels (TM) is because they’re pissed they’re not running real death panels where they can send people they don’t like to their deaths.

Republicans: “Think of the economy!!”

And cooking grease and dander...

Yeah, if I wanted my house to look like a combination of cottage cheese and matted sheepskins, I’d just do that.

The problem is, expanding spray foam is very, very toxic and can fuck up children as well as anyone handling it. This isn’t “Get off my lawn.” this is like “You are risking major health issues.”

Second. Ugly, rapidly disintegrating, incredibly toxic, fire retardent foam insulation used as accent pieces. I’ve eaten cookies less appealing than that shit to a toddler. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used expando foam to seal parts of the garage, but the only one who ever goes in there is me when I’m hiding from my
